A feature-length travel documentary which expands on a short film I made in 2011, exploring the magical, intoxicating, and subsequently treacherous route that was travelled by the intrepid dreamers of the sixties’ and seventies’, from Europe to India/Nepal.

This film explores the past and present of the fascinating ‘Road to Kathmandu’, and examines the bittersweet relationship between this western migration and the various countries traversed along the way. The history of the ‘Hippie Trail’ takes us on a political, social, geographical, economical and spiritual journey of West-meets-East.
